Junior Closed - 2006
Horsham
Juniors had a successful afternoon at the Sussex Junior Closed
Championships, with Rachel Willmott winning the U19 Girls,
Ollie Pett was runner up in the U19 Boys and
Bryony Johnson won the U15 Girls.

Under 19 Champion
Rising
star Rachel Willmott hit new heights by winning the British Under
19 championships in Bishops Stortford at the end of February.
The
title was 17 year old Rachel's seventh success at the
championships, having won at every age group level in her young
career, and going one better on the heartbreak of losing last
year's final to Jenna Gates.
Horsham
ace Rachel was made to battle for her victory when she
dramatically came from behind in both the semi-final and the
final, saving three match balls in the semi against Victoria Bell
in a thrilling five game match.
"It's
a special title, as my first under 19's, it's quite a big one to
win", she said.
Meanwhile,
Rachel who turns 18 in June, harbours ambitions to compete in the
Olympics - if squash is granted Olympic status.
